Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we've got a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt Class III Two-inch Hitch Receiver. Adding a hitch receiver to the back of your Crosstrek is gonna allow you to carry bike racks, cargo carriers, or maybe even pull a small trailer. The Crosstrek is a very versatile vehicle, but the space inside can sometimes be limited. So that's why getting bulkier items, like a cooler or some luggage, onto a cargo rack, or if you're wanting to take bikes to and from the trail, getting them outta your car if you can even fit 'em inside of your vehicle. A lot of times people don't think about, you know, they can put their bikes inside their car when they leave for the trail, but once they're done riding, you have to be very careful to not get your bike covered in mud so you don't have to stick it back inside your car. more

The one issue with them is the back of the vehicle's not very large, so you're not gonna have a whole lot of room for storage especially if you're trying to get something like a bike to and from the trail head. It's gonna be very difficult and really messy if you're coming back from the trail to slide that bike in the back of your car. more

Best 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Trailer Hitch Options- Video

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best hitch options for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. Now the two options that we have here today is going to be the CURT Class 3 trailer hitch receiver with the two-inch hitch receiver, and the etrailer Class 3 two inch hitch receiver. The biggest difference between the two right off the bat is going to be the paint job. The etrailer hitch is going to have a black carbide finish. It's a matte black finish, so depending on what you're looking for, the CURT hitch is going to have a gloss black powder hook finish. more

The cross tube's gonna be hidden behind the bumper, so you're just gonna be able to see the receiver tube here at the back. And if looks is really important to you, that's one of the best features of this hitch is that the receiver tube here is removable by removing the single bolt that's located here. It'll drop down and you can place it into a storage compartment in your trunk and nobody's the wiser that you even have a hitch installed. EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek- Video

Today on our 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, we're gonna be taking a look at the EcoHitch Class 3 custom-fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 306-X7365. So here's where our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. Now, the really nice thing about this is the cross tube is gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper, and all we're gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out. And because of the design, we can actually remove this bolt here and the entire receiver tube will come out, giving you a completely concealed design. Our hitch is gonna offer us a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, which means we're gonna have a lot of different options for any kind of accessory that we wanna mount up. The way we're gonna mount all of our accessories, the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is gonna accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more

Now here's where our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. I really like it because the crosstube's completely hidden behind the bumper here and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Not to mention the receiver tube is almost flush with the back bumper, so we don't have to worry about walking by and hitting our leg on it. Now it is a Class II, which means it's going to give us that 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, which would be great for accessories like bike racks. more

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com, today on our 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer.com, Class 3, Two-inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now compared to some of the other hitches available, this one is going to be a little bit more visible, but in my opinion, it looks pretty good on the back of our Subaru. It's going to match the body lines nicely and almost look like it belongs. And there is an upside to that visibility, that's going to be how easy it is to use since everything is in the open, it's going to be really easy to get all of our accessories connected and disconnected. Another thing, I noticed, is that our hitch is going to give us some really good clearance. And what I mean by that is the end of our receiver tube is actually going to stick out just a little bit past our bumper and that's going to be perfect, especially for those folding accessories.Another thing, that separates this hitch from some of the others is its finish, it's going to have a matte black, carbide powder coat finish, which is going to stay in really good shape, be scratch-resistant and it's also going to match our Subaru's trim package, almost spot on. more

So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The crosstube is going to be visible, it's going to sit right down below the bumper, but it's still going to have that really clean appearance to it because it is going to be tucked back a little bit and the main thing we see is just that receiver tube sticking out.Now our hitch is going to allow us to do a lot of different things. If you want to tow a trailer, we can do that. We can make some room on the inside of our car for more passengers or pets, we can use a cargo carrier to put that gear on the outside, or if we want to take a bike ride, hit the trails, we can put a bike rack in here and we can be on the way.But regardless of what we're going to be using it for, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. more

The cross tube is tucked up pretty well behind the bumper so it's fairly noticeable. For the most part, all you're going to notice is the receiver sticking out the back. It's a Class 3 2-inch by 2-inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs from bike racks to cargo carriers, to trailers, it will handle just about everything. And if appearance is one of the biggest concerns when purchasing a hitch, this is one of the best options, because the receiver tube here can be removed by simply taking out the single bolt here, and dropping the whole tube down. You can store it in a storage compartment in the back and nobody's even the wiser that you've got a hitch installed.This is a class II, one and a quarter by one and a quarter inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your light towing needs. Today on our 2019 Subaru Crosstrack, we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install draw-tight class three max range inaudible 00:00:07 hitch receiver, part number 76209. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed, you can see the cross-tube is visible, however, it's nice and tucked up to the bottom of our fascia and it has a round tube design so it fits real nicely with the contour of the vehicle. It's going to be a class three hitch, it's going to be two inch by two inch, it's gonna have a reinforced collar, give you a little bit of extra stability on your receiver tube. This hole here is gonna be for your hitch vent, it's gonna be five eighths inch in diameter. Now the hitch vent equip does not come with this hitch, however you can find one here at etrailor.com. This hole here is gonna be for a j-pin stabilization device only. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 306-X7366. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed on our Crosstrek. The cross tube's going to be hidden completely behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. The really nice thing about this is if we don't want to see that receiver tube sticking out and we're not going to tow, because of the design, if we pull this bolt out, we can drop the receiver tube out and it'll be completely concealed behind the bumper.Our safety chains are going to be tucked behind the bumper here, and even though we're going to have to reach in a little bit, we should have plenty of room to get our hooks attached. And, since they're so far back, we're not going to have to worry about interference from the pin and clip.Some of our customers have really liked the finish on here. It's going to have more of a textured black finish, opposed to the traditional high gloss, so it's going to hide scratches and dirt really well. more

Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing that you'll notice about this hitch is that the main frame of the hitch is mostly hidden behind our rear fascia. The only part you really see hanging down is our actual receiver itself.On the side of our receiver you'll find our industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. As you can see the cross tube is going to come across the rear of the fascia here. It tucks up really nicely to it. Today on our 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw Tite Sports Frame Custom Fit Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver, offering the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. It's part number is DT24959. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see, it really snugs up nicely just underneath the fascia but you are going to have that cross tube that you'll see across the rear of the vehicle here. In the middle, we've got our inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. This is a Class 1 hitch, so you've got safety chain connection points here if you are going to be hauling a small trailer. more

Its part number is C13135. Now the biggest difference between our two hitches that you're going to notice is that our Curt, you can see it's got the square cross tube on it. We have our side plates, this is going to be a pretty symmetrical look. It's going to have this square tube that'll come over here to the receiver tube opening. Now, with this being a class III hitch, we have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. Makes it a very, very versatile hitch. To secure those items in place, we've got the 5/8 diameter pinhole here. more

Its part number is 76084. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on the vehicle. You can see you'll have a cross tube that comes over. It's almost symmetrical, this side is just a touch shorter. I don't think that's something you're going to notice looking at it from the rear of the vehicle but this one is just a little bit shorter. Best 2016 Subaru Crosstrek Hitch Options- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Our hitch on the top is going to be the CURT class three receiver hitch, part number C13135. The second one down is going to be the CURT class one trailer hitch, part number C11286, followed by the Draw-Tite class one sport frame receiver hitch, part number 24886. Now you can see our biggest difference is going to be that this one is a class three with a 2" receiver, while these are both class one with 1-1/4". Now the 2" receiver is going to be give you a lot more options for cargo carriers, bike racks, and ball mounts. Another difference you're going to notice is on the CURT class one it's got a flat-style safety chain loop, where the class three has the ring-style with a larger diameter, as well as the Draw-Tite that's got the ring-style for larger chain hooks. Now with the ring-style it's going to give you a little bit more room to put a larger hook into and make it a little easier, where sometimes with these flat-style ones it's not going to be able to grip around the outside here because we have a lot larger diameter. more
